Emily Jones 5/31


Emily and Josh got caught in a huge double attack. Buckets came from both directions and caught them totally by surprise, which was terrible news for Emily's dress. The light dress was no match for the red dousing and she finds herself with the highest scoring soaking ever. From the video and the pictures, nearly 100% soaked first with water and then red.

Scoring over 30 seems untouchable....

Jon Morosi 5/30

Texas becomes the first team to splash a reporter twice this year after Gonzalez's stellar debut. Jon caught caught in the dual cooler attack. The first instance of a national reporter getting caught in the aftermath gives Jon the leading score of the year and continues to pad the leader board with male reporters.

Kris Budden 5/29

Not much more exciting than a walk off grand slam. Friday night provided an exciting finish for San Diego as Derek Norris went deep with the bags loaded for the win. During the ensuing celebration, Kris was caught in the crossfire, managing to avoid the majority of the red Powerade which would have been bad news for the white pants she had on. Two months into the season and no team has caught a reporter twice in a celebration so it's a crowd of once soaked reporters.

Laura Rutledge 5/24

It's not just the MLB that brings out the gatorade cooler to celebrate as Laura found out. Florida celebrated the conference tournament win with a shower for the coach with the reporter caught along side. She didn't even get to start her interview before getting doused and then had to do the whole interview dripping wet. She then posted some great pictures of the action on twitter, so we'll add her into our list. College World Series coming up!

Emily Jones 5/11

Fortunately for Emily's white pants the blue Gatorade mostly ended up on Field as intended. But she still caught some spray on the pants and heels. Twitter reaction sound like Andrus would help cover the dry cleaning. She joins a crowded early list where no one has been unlucky enough to get caught and soaked a second time this year. Who's next?

Alex Curry 5/8


Alex Curry was targeted with her own cooler as the Angels finally managed to include her in their celebrations after a complete game. Despite turning and running she caught a good soaking in the back before she regrouped with Weaver and continued the interview. She joins the crowded female list just behind the leaders. And a new competitor in the drink choice: Bodyarmor.

Julia Morales 4/30

Julia's interview with Altuve was quickly interrupted with a powerade shower. Although she moved quickly, her dress still caught some of the spray although some of that came later as Springer made sure the cooler was empty, tossing the remaining liquid at her. From her blog:

April wraps up with several showers and reporters managing to mostly avoid heavy soakings. May and warmer weather coming up.
