Emily Jones 9/23

Emily volunteered herself into the clinching celebrating gatorade shower - jacket, heeled boots and all. Despite putting an apparent end to being regularly included in the celebration, she still has been soaked a few times this year, this time celebrating a great regular season for Texas. She then changed into a T-shirt and got further soaked in the champagne celebration, but the gatorade bath sets the bar high for other clinches.

Julia Morales AL WC clinch

For all the winning Houston did this year, Julia managed to avoid getting soaked too many times from walk off celebrations. In the only real dramatic race coming down to the last day, the Rangers helped the Astros clinch a wild card spot with out needing a tie breaker.

Major props to Julia who valiantly joined the celebration in her dress and heels, bringing some bright color into the locker room full of gray uniforms and T shirts.

Despite efforts to protect her dress, (the poncho seemed to be worthless) the celebration soon soaked her thoroughly. She tried goggles and a hat, but by that time there wasn't much left to keep dry. RootSportsSW doesn't post any videos, so a quick perusing of social media found a few clips/screen captures.

Her clubhouse bathroom selfie on instagram showed/recapped the full extent of the damage and that the poncho didn't help a whole lot. She made it sound like she didn't have time to change before a flight? That's just cruel. And hopefully the dress and heels recover.

The Rangers won game 162 sending the Astros to the wildcard and setting them up to take on Toronto. Emily had been staying dry the last half of the year, but the boys got her good. MVP status for going without a poncho, she tried goggles some and kept a hat on, keeping some hair dry? (probably not) 

Although spared the baby powered the Dodgers found a few days ago, she still took a drenching - getting it in the face, down the back, through the goggles.Fox Sports SW posted some clips showing some of the antics.

Alanna Rizzo NL West Clinch

Compared to last year, Alanna's year has been relatively dry, avoiding all but a few splashes during celebrations. The Dodgers clinching celebration drenched her but unlike last year she went without a poncho (not that the poncho helped much last year). Baby powder and all sorts of liquid rained down soaking her (same top as last year?). She even tried putting on a championship T shirt, but a bucket of water soon soaked that as well.

Video link below shows her shivering, hopefully it was toward the end of the night. What a job she did without any hat or poncho protection. If the Dodgers beat the Mets, how will she follow that performance up? Post some more pictures? Go full MVP and stick with one of her usual professional dresses? Will this be the only celebration for the Dodgers again?
